About

Hello, my name is Aaron and I am an out of work IT professional. Well, not really, I was laid off (like many others were before and after 911) and decided to do what I enjoy most, make things and raise my 3 year old son. I have a wife with a “real job” who supports us and have changed more diapers than any man I know. This website has had many faces but now I am trying my hand in product review. Who better can review home and garden things than a person who uses them? Below is a list of my other projects.

My other websites:

My wife suggested making a rain barrel to collect rainwater to keep my garden alive (during a water restriction), so I made four of them. It turned out we only needed two so I placed an ad on e-Bay and was amazed at how quickly my homemade rain barrels sold. I now sell them from a site I named, Aaron’s Rain Barrels each season to help pay our bills, my projects are funded with recycled plastic!

When I had conquered the world of small capacity rainwater collection I decided to research larger rainwater harvesting units. What this website turned into was not exactly what I had planned. My Rainwater Harvesting Guide is now a free educational resource for those interested in learning about rainwater harvesting (funded by Google Ads) and am also doing biodiesel, solar, wind power and sustainable blogs.

I have had 20 pounds of red worms in my basement worm bin devouring kitchen scraps in a heavy slithering contained mass. To those who were not afraid to dissect the frog in science class it is a beautiful thing, but for people with weak stomachs they see it as completely nuts! I learned this when I eagerly brought a buddy downstairs during a football party to brag about my little science project. Well, you get the picture; here is my yucky new website called The Compost Bin.

Ok, the following websites are not complete but I have started them anyhow by introducing inspirational writings on each subject. They cover three more of my passions, Lawn Care, Water Gardens and Saltwater Aquariums. I am breaking new ground on all these projects and will update each site as I go in a sort of “show and tell” fashion that I have become known for. This should keep me busy for the next year, take care and remember to always follow your dreams.

Kind regards,

Aaron
